FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: I've never washed with an oil before.. seems weird, don't we want to get oil off our skin rather than put it on?
A: As your skin naturally produces oil, by using an oil to cleanse, you are simply mimicking your skins natural process. Therefore, you are not stressing out an already stressed skin.
Q: Will this product block my pores or cause pimples?
A: No, because of the small molecular structure of the ingredients used in Wiccan, this will not block your pores or cause pimples.
Q: I notice that sometimes the product is a clear runny liquid, but other times it's solidified into a white balm. Why is that?
A: One of the ingredients in Wiccan is Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil, and this can solidify if it is stored below 24 degrees. This will not harm Wiccan, and can easily be used in the solid state. Simply use a spatula to remove a lump of Wiccan and then use this. Once in contact with the skin, it will melt quite quickly, even on your finger tips.
Q: What makes this product different from other tattoo care products out there?
A: There are a lot of tattoo after care products out there that are alcohol based, which can be very irritating to the skin. Wiccan contains no nasties, and is very gentle on the skin, even freshly inked skin. Futhermore, the cleaning of a fresh tattoo is even more critical than after-care and the great think about Wiccan is that it is a perfect cleansing product AND an after-care healing oil. So it cleans, calms and hydrates with anti-inflammatory anti-oxidant properties. Heals with antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties. And protects with a SPF factor of 4 - 6 as well as relieves the itchy feeling as the skin scabs and heals.
Q: Does it matter how many times I apply it?
A: There is no limit as to how many times to apply Wiccan. During the first few days after being inked, 2-3 times a day is fine. When the itchy healing stage sets in, apply as needed. By applying Wiccan regularly during this stage, the itching will be alleviated, therefore removing the temptation to scratch and possibly damaging your tattoo.
Q: How does this oil both clean, heal and protect my tattoo exactly?
A: The carefully selected ingredients in Wiccan all have their own special purposes. They have been chosen as they have very strong anti bacterial properties, as well as being very nourishing and protective.
Q: What is the risks of not using any sort of tattoo care?
A: The risks involved with not using tattoo after care aren’t always apparent straight away. Your tattoo needs to be nurtured during the healing process or you can risk the ink not healing properly and becoming patchy. Your tattoo is with you for life, so why wouldn’t you want to prolong the life of the ink by looking after it? A fresh tattoo is a wound so the biggest risk you have in the early stages is an infection which can ruin your peice. Cleaning is very important but the problem with using soap, even antibacterial soap - is that they are harsh and often strip your skin of oils essential to the healing process. Using soap results in extra dry, extra flakey skin which itches like crazy. If you itch and scratch at your tattoo you risk infection.
